Lock:
The winning hand, a hand which is unbeatable.
Pair:
Two cards of the same rank.
Pot:
The money or chips in the centre of the table.
Rank:
The value of a card. Each card has a suit and a rank.
Royal Flush:
The best possible hand consisting of the cards 10-J-Q-K-A, all of the same suit.
Shuffle:
Mixing of the cards before and between deals.
Tilt:
Going 'on Tilt' means to lose control of one's emotions and play badly.
